Windows 10: Enable Old Windows Photo viewer Microsoft wants to open all the image files in the new Photos application, not the old Photo Viewer. It keeps if you upgrade from a previous version of Windows, but is not available in the current version. For whatever reason, Microsoft chose not to include the registry keys that allow access to the Photo Viewer in Windows 10. However, if you install the new Windows 10 from scratch, Windows Photo Viewer not available for you to use. If you upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10, you’ll have the Windows Photo Viewer available as an option. However, Microsoft has hidden the classic Photo Viewer in the new Windows 10 system, so that it becomes difficult to use it. The new Windows Photo viewer application as the default for the viewer, but still also included the old Windows Photo Viewer.
